I sent in my ED application around October 15th; I wanted to make sure everything got there well before the deadline. Vassar sent me an ID and PIN# and a link to the applicant status website:

I got this email about two weeks ago, and after I logged in it said that with the excpetion of my Common Application and Personal Essay, they didn't have anything. It clearly says on the page not to freak out, because chances are they have stuff and didn't enter it in the computer.... but I'm still freaking out.

For all those who applied ED, did you get a similar email/ID, and has it "Recieved" everything yet?

I sent mine Sunday, Nov. 8th. arose4emily, how many days later after Oct. 15 did you get your ID and PIN#? And do you get it via email?

I wouldn’t worry. They probably only mean that they’ve gone over/read your Common App and Personal Essay. I mean, you were a month early. Nothing to worry about.

My email came on October 28 with my PIN#.
And I know I have nothing to worry about, but my SATs, reccommendations and transcripts were all sent by different people at different times, and it would be relaxing to know that everything has arrived.

Wow, so exactly two weeks later. And I have the same sitch with all the parts of my application. Thank god most things are online now.

Thankfully, it got updated today. I was about to call the campus and ask if my application had got lost in the interwebs and never made it. Vassar now says it has everything but my SAT and ACT scores, and my Supplement. Anyone know how long it takes for SATs to get to colleges? They were sent out the 15th, but my October SAT was sent the 27th.

A month maybe? Eh, well, that’s way too long. I had told CollegeBoard to send my scores to Vassar automatically so I don’t know. :/

…Gah, I really want my ID and PIN, haha.

I just got my PIN and ID, and it says that everything was received except the Supplement. However, I submitted the supplement online at the same time I submitted my Common App. Should I call and ask, or is this common?

It says my supplement wasn’t recieved either. I think they organize all materials in the application by the order listed. For me, it says the last four are missing.

When did you submit your SAT/ACT scores?

My D says the supplement is listed as “not received.”

Ah, that makes sense! I had my scores sent priority mail about two weeks ago (I didn’t take any of the tests this school year, so I just needed to have them sent from the ACT website and collegeboard).

Did you take them recently and have them sent directly to Vassar? If so, they’re probably on their way. Vassar might’ve updated the site in order of those who sent them on their own and those whose were sent directly on the day of the test.

I sent them via the internet on October 15th, but due to my taking of the October SAT, they weren’t sent from collegeboard until the 27th.

For me, it says everything is accepted except for the Counselor/School Report, SAT Subject Test #1 and #2, and my Common App Supplement. It makes sense since my YourSpace was sent via snail mail and I took my SATII’s this October. But the counselor/school report, I’m a little anxious, but it’ll be okay.

Oh wow that’s crazy. I check two and a half hours later and it says that my Subject Test scores have been received. Now it’s just the Counselor/School report and my Supplement. Just fyi.

So I guess that means October SAT’s should be in?

October SATs are in. I now have everything “recieved” except my supplement.

And now… everything is in. I’m relieved that nothing got lost, but I’m terrified. I feel like I’m going to throw up. Chances are, review of my application starts tomorrow.

Mine hasn’t been updated. Not worried! After all, I only sent mine in a week and a half ago.
