Deadline Extension.. did anyone else get this?

I just got this e-mail an hour ago:

Happy 2006!

If you are still considering applying to Vassar, we are happy to offer you the ability to apply online through January 15, as our way of saying thanks for attending our online chat in December. We hope that your questions were answered and that your view of Vassar was enhanced, but since according to our records you may not have yet submitted an application to us, we thought we'd email you. If you have already submitted an application, great! We'll look forward to reading it in the coming weeks.

You can apply online easily at http://admissions.vassar.edu/apply.html

We hope you'll continue to consider Vassar, and wish you a happy and prosperous year ahead.

I submitted my common app and the Why Vassar? part of my application on Dec. 31st and already got the confirmation email but not the letter...so they probably haven't started processing my application I guess.

Now I have time to do a Your Space! essay or something because I never turned one in.

How cool is this, though?

yeah, i got that, but i already turned in everything. I received my postal confirmation, but never received any email. now im worried that something went wrong! :(

I got that e-mail and I've been accepted EDI. I wouldn't worry about it.

I didn't receive any confirmation at all... But then again I am an international student...

I got that email. I didn't apply Jan 1st. (Because no money for app fee and SAT I/II scores) I wonder if I should just risk it...

Should I be freaking out for not getting that email? Or is it just because I didn't attend the chat?

well, just by reading the email it seems that it was sent to people who attended the chat. if you didn't attend the chat then you didn't get the email.....? no biggie.

Thank you :).
