I applied RD too! I can’t stop thinking about March.
Same, I’m really hoping for good news in March!!! Vassar is my first choice, but I didn’t apply ED I or II because I wanted to be able to compare financial offers!
what other colleges did you apply to?
@neuromaniac I applied to UVA (in-state), URichmond, Yale, UChicago, Brown, Wesleyan, Pomona, and Swarthmore (and Vassar ofc ).
oh i applied to some of these as well! best of luck!!
@berkdork Pomona was my top choice initially! Got rejected from them ED 1 and Vassar is pretty much my top choice now. I applied to Barnard, UCLA, CU Boulder, Scripps, and ASU as well.
leaving for my interview in about an hour!!
does anyone know the projected date of when vassar will be releasing RD acceptances/rejections?
from the website: Students applying under the Regular Decision plan will be notified of the Admission Committee decision around late March.
Does late March normally mean dates after 25th March?
Last year it was on the 28th.
hoping i’ll get in as vassar has seriously everything i’m looking for in a college. but:
a. i doubt it mostly because of my (relatively bad) test scores and
b. i won’t be absolutely gutted if i get the L because i still have some other colleges that i’d love to attend–it’s just that vassar is known to be very generous with FA
good luck to everybody!! i hope you guys hear great news next week
Hi, so I applied to Vassar as regular decision and I’ve been waiting to hear back since. But last week I got called down to my counselor because they had emailed her asking for my midyear report. Since Vassar doesn’t normally ask for mid year reports, my counselor told me they are probably not sure what to do with me and need additional materials to make the decision. But I’ve kinda been slacking off this year, and Im not doing as well as I did my previous years. My counselor told me to print off a Mid year report form from the Common app and bring it to her for her to fill it out and send it, but I’ve been debating whether or not to do that. They never contacted me, so it wont be a failure on my side if they don’t get the report. What should I do? And when are the decisions going to be available?
I think you should send your report, talk to your teachers if you’re only slightly below the grade you want. But discuss it with your counselor too.
Anybody knows whether Vassar sends out news on a particular date or do they release decisions in a drip-drip fashion?
@WilliamNYC Before EDI decisions came out, they emailed me one week in advance.
@SirSly did you get aid?
@berkdork, that’s an impressive list of very selective colleges you applied to! Good luck.
@intstudent2021 Yup, a ton actually, since Vassar was very generous with me. Very blessed since I won’t have any debt when I graduate!
wish we could have a confirmed decision date by now!! the wait is killing me
