Vassar decisions ED I

So, I was wondering if I'm the only one who is a bit anxious about the decisions. I think it's two weeks to go, yeah?

In any case, something struck me today that I hadn't really thought about before: does anybody know if we can expect these letters BY the fifteenth? Or are they only mailed on that day? I really hope they mail them before, because the fifteenth is a Friday and that would be a seriously sweet way to end the week.

Ahh! I'm so anxious. I half expected, clicking this topic, to hear that someone go their letter already! Haha. Wishful thinking.

I was wondering about when we can expect the decisions too, so I looked at some of the early decision threads from years past. It looks like they've all gotten them a little bit earlier than the 15th--the earliest I've seen being the 11th, which was a Friday or Saturday before the week that the letters were expected. If that's the case this year, some might come on the 8th or 9th, though I highly doubt it.

Good luck, though! We've just got one more week to tough out, essentially.

That's a relief! I had my application in fairly early, so I'm pretty tired of waiting. :-/ And since I live in NJ, hopefully the mail will arrive a day or so after they send it!

i guess they will send individual emails to internationals like me...can't wait for that all important email....

yeah, i've heard that we are supposed to get the letter by the 15th, meaning they would send it on the 11th or 12th.

i'm sorta glad they send it by mail rather than e-mail.....otherwise i'd be on my computer refreshing the inbox over and over and over and over

Did anyone get the email for the online chat on Thursday? I'm excited, but I'm going stir crazy waiting for that letter to come! I'm really, really nervous. Hahaha... I can't wait to hopefully be rid of the whole college-application burden--and hopefully be going to my dream school!

Yeah, I got that email...I'll be in the chat, long enough at least to figure out when decisions are mailed. I guess I'll use the same name, in the event that any of you will be there and wanna talk. I'd definitely like to talk to you guys for a while...seeing as we will hopefully be future classmates. :)

Definitely! I might be a little scarce from 8-9, though, while I'm jumping in and out for Ugly Betty >_> Hahah, but I'm really excited to talk to some (fingers crossed) of my future classmates!

Good luck everyone! I know how this feels. <3

Vassar ED1 decisions to be mailed on Monday!

they will be mailed tomorrow

The chat was pretty much amazing. I've never been so sure that Vassar's the school for me. Hahah, now all we have to do is wait till either Monday or Tuesday!

I went to the chat. It was great. I already knew I'd be applying RD, but now I'm so happy about it. The students and admissions counselors were all so helpful and informative. Vassar seems totally wonderful. yay :)

Good luck you guys!

GUH I HAD A REHEARSAL TONIGHT SO I COULDN'T DO THE CHAT.

That stinks.....wow, letters will be mailed tomorrow?!

Nerves, nerves, nerves.

Good luck, Imaginary!

the letters to be mailed tomorrow!! is it the same for internationals as well?

I skipped class to join in the chat. Darn time zones.

Anyone applying ED2? I heard from the chat that the acceptance rate of ED1 is 15% higher than RD. Anyone know about ED2?

(Hey JasonM, I think I recall seeing your name in the chat, haha.)

i think they said it was the same for both EDI and EDII

one admissions officer said it was 15% more...... another said it was 35-40% more :O ..... haha

and yeah it is the same for internationals.
So best of luck shail and the rest of the intels who applied ED :)

wow...this is so overwhelming.
