I got in!

I came home and my mom and sister were just standing and staring at the envelope…so nerve wracking. Btw I regret not checking out this group sooner - I was trying to put everything out of my mind until I heard. Heh.

I’m excited and…a little scared? Now everything is definite…anyone else?

:(

Vassar won’t be the same without you guys. Good luck with the rest of your apps.

ACCEPTED!
i started crying my eyes out hysterically. and rolling around on the floor. and shaking.

hahahahah hey guys, I just got into Vassar ED! Actually I found out Saturday, but i was just looking through some comments yesterday, and uhhhh on page 19… some of you were talking about an “alex” in the Vassar group on Facebook (i think like mattsayfierce or something) and uhhh, i think that alex is me… cause at the time that post was posted i was the only alex in that group. SO FUNNY. also, made me kind of happy. IM EXCITED AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU, hopefully ill be seeing many of your faces next year oh and to the people who were talking about friending on fb, go ahead, its not THAT creepy =P yay class of 14!

Post office just closed in my town… no letter. This is weird, Vassar is practically in my backyard compared to some of the places a lot of people who have already heard come from. The idea of another day of this is pretty awful. Oh well, life goes on in purgatory.

I’m in the same boat… I live pretty close by, but no mail today. Hopefully we’ll know tomorrow!!

I’M IN!
good luck to everyone else!

REJECTED. This day is terrible.

Seriously…They couldnt just DEFER us…like it had to be a full on REJECTION! boo…

Hold on there, guys! Stay strong. Congratulations to rest who got in. People here are so cool, regardless of whether they got in or not. BTW, I love Spring Awakening and Vampire Weekend as well.

possible Vassar RD’er

i got the small envelope :(… oh well, we’ll all get into great schools whether it is vassar or not. good luck to everyone else - EDII’ers, RD’ers, and everyone else applying to college. this thread was fun!! :)

ACCEPTED!!
The letter came Friday or Saturday, while I was in Jamaica. My grandmother relayed the news to me from my mom in the middle of my sister’s wedding! I’m sooo excited!

I was also accepted. My mom texted me. :)

I got deferred. After four hours of pure sadness I’m starting to realize that getting deferred or rejected doesn’t have to be a bad thing. We have so many more opportunities than those kids who are now in a binding contract (kinda sucks). We basically get to go shopping for schools in April. And we’ll all get into school that are just as great as Vassar if not BETTER.

PS- you are probably beautiful ;)

Accepted, and congrats to everyone else, too! And best wishes to everyone deferred/rejected. It’ll all work out. :]

ACCEPTED!!!
I could barely breathe after I read the letter.
Congrats to fellow acceptees and best wishes and good luck to others!

VASSARRRR!!! wooooohhhhoooooo!!!

I honestly believe everything happens for a reason. for those who were deferred/rejected, you have more opportunities waiting. for those accepted, see you in the falllll ;)

rejected, unsurprisingly! gah more painful than I thought it would be though. BUT i guess i wasn’t meant to go to vassar, and now i just want to go… far far away but, CONGRATS EVERYONE ELSE! i wish i was attending with you but I truly think everyone on this thread deserved to get in and I loved being part of it, even if only for awhile!

For everyone out there: I graduated last year from high school, and I applied to about seven schools. I kinda liked a few, but I wasn’t really excited by the whole process, probably because I worked so hard during my senior year and I wasn’t excited by more SCHOOL. I ended up deferring my application to SUNY Geneseo, which was my top pick, until the following fall so I could take a year off. I’ve been traveling, volunteering, and working all over the world (with money I saved myself thru a part time job during my senior year), and I’ll leave for Costa Rica for a five month ecological volunteering stint soon. I luckily visited Vassar again, decided that it was perfect for me (I wasn’t really sure what I wanted during my senior year), and I’m glad that Vassar ended up picking me thru the ED process. Good luck everyone, just relax and trust that the perfect school will pick you!! :)
