Any thoughts for someone who wants an LAC and possibly wants pure math?

I don’t know much about the math program, but I have quite a few friends who are strictly math majors and they seem pretty happy with it.

As a math major at Vassar I can tell you that the math faculty here is fantastic. They provide excellent lectures, have tons of office hours to aid students and allow for much flexibility in your course schedule to allow you to pursue what branch of mathematics actually interests you.

(Although I should note that I’m not referring to applied mathematics or statistics when I refer to the branches of mathematics as Vassar only offers a degree in pure math, which has it’s own separate disciplines: number theory, analysis, discrete, etc. You can take classes in applied math and statistics, Vassar just doesn’t offer a degree in these fields)
