pros, cons, differences of each? since vassar used to be yale's sister school, i was curious. i'm interested in both. :)

I visited both Vassar and Yale so I can tell you some differences- and there are many. Though they were sister schools Vassar and Yale have different atmospheres, philosophies and campuses. Yale appears to be squished inside of a city and is very urban. It felt cold and there were a good deal of snobby people on my tour (though this probably doesn’t reflect the whole student body). Vassar was open, pretty and homey. It was rustic, had grass (its an aboretum) and the people were friendly. It felt noncompetitive. So it depends on what you like. Both have gorgeous architecture, beautiful libraries and great reputations.
Hope that helps.
