Hi everyone. I was waitlisted by Vassar College, and I would like to accept a spot. I am aware that we have to fill in a form and send it to the college but I don't understand one of the statements. it says "I will be attending ______________ College/University" fill in the blank. What am I supposed to write? vassar? isn't what obvious, though?

help please? I know its a silly question but I would reaaally appreciate it.
Also, i guess its sent via mail?

I think you need to fill in where you are sending a deposit or plan to send a deposit because you probably won’t hear from Vassar before May 1st. I think that is how wait lists usually work. The school sees who accepts their invitation to matriculate by their deadline, which I think is May 1st or so. If they have open spots, they go the waitlist.

Anyone know the likelihood of getting off the waitlist at Vassar? What were the stats for previous years?

I think you can look up the vassar common data set for the stats on waitlists. Although I don’t think anyone got off the list last year.

nope. no one got in last year. But they are accepting a small number of students this year.

i was accepted from the vassar waitlist last week

Could I ask you a question, then? Do you show any financial need, minimal, or a lot?

Im hoping they admit students in spite of their financial needs. It would be, in my opinion, a bit foolish if they didn’t. You’d think that what would matter more is their academic contributions, not their monetary ones.
