VCU essays, application

How many essays are needed to apply to the guaranteed medical program? I see as many as 4 needed? Is that right? And what are the deadlines for applying to each of the colleges.....honors, guaranteed medical, etc?

According to their catalog

Guaranteed admissions to the school of medicine Nov15
Guaranteed admission to health science programs other than medicine Nov15
Scholarship consideration Dec 1st
Regular Decision Jan 15

Thanks raclut. Do you also happen to know how many essays are needed?

Best is to call the honors college.
I spoke with them and it seems you first have to apply for admission to the college, then to the honors college, and then for the guaranteed admission.
I know there are two essays for the honors college but we are not at the point yet in regards to what needs to be completed for the third part , guaranteed admission.

So first get admission to vcu, then to the honors college only then can you be considered for guaranteed med program.

The instructions are laid out online at : https://www.pubapps.vcu.edu/honors/forms/ga/instructions.aspx

The essay info is stated as:

Attach a typed 200-250 word essay on each of the following topics to your online application:

*Comment on your motivation for, and interest in, medicine.
*Discuss one thing about you that is unique and that has not been addressed anywhere else in this application.

Also, you will be completing the regular application for admissions AND the Honors College application for the Guaranteed Admissions to Med School. Both must be done by November 15.

Thanks for the updates and the links. So it does look
Ike 4 essays…hmm.
