@OrangeFish
Yea I send email to processor Samantha Ray and his email :raysa@vcu.edu and she’s reply to me back with the basic formula email this massage ( Students who apply and submit all materials to complete their application package by Jan. 15 will hear a decision from us in writing, via U.S. mail, by April 1. Since applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, it is possible to hear something from us before April.)
I am really nervous about that and worried. Because until now I have not received any decision.
@Bizdock the letter from the Honors college comes separate from the initial offer of admission. My daughter’s was accidentally delivered to a neighbor who was on vacation, so I’m not sure exactly how long it was in between, but probably a week or so.
I get my admitted letter today. Thank you all for helping me.
I get a different question about the FAFSA
On october I applied to 10 college and I submit my fafsa application on October and I add my 10 college to the fafsa application. Now I get accepted to 7 college. But I will attend just only one. So do I need to go to my fafsa and delete the other 9 college.
@OrangeFish FAFSA question. adding schools outside of the 10 allowed means you must delete schools? How do we know the 1st 10 schools have received it before deleting to add additional schools? Hope this makes sense and thank you.
@OrangeFish…I have not received any Student Aid Reports other than a letter from Pitt’s financial aid office stating “Congrat’s on your D’s acceptance”???
I filled out the FAFSA for VCU, JMU, W&M, UF, UVA, Pitt, VTECH, and GMU.
@fairfaxgator - We received an email from the US Department of Education, sent to my D’s email address. I believe it was the day of or the day following the FAFSA submission. (We did this back in October; could there be delays now due to the partial government shutdown?)
In part it said:
Review your SAR. Your SAR is a summary of the information you provided on your FAFSA form; it is not your financial aid offer. Log in to fafsa.gov with your FSA ID to review your SAR.
@Mercsabr
Congrats. I was rooting for you for a while.
About schorlarship or merit, my D got a “certificate” (in the same acceptance letter package) saying we would receive an official letter in early spring.
I heard some people already received that letter. My D has not.
@Mercsabr I applied on oct 22nd and got my acceptance letter on dec 29th. My gpa is a 3.6 (low because of car accident).
I called (804) 828-1222, they told me they mailed my decision and I was supposed to get it on nov 11th but I never got it so they sent another
