Verification form

Did anybody else get a verification form? I feel unlucky that I got selected as part of the sample group.

Dear xxx,

Thank you ... expedite your application processing as much as possible

As you know, the University's selective campuses assess on a broad range of academic achievement and other accomplishments in the context of their opportunities and challenges. Just as campuses will verify the academic records of all incoming students by checking final high school transcripts, the University has selected a random sample of applicants to provide verification of information given in the self-reported academic record, extracurricular information, and personal statement sections of the application.

You have been selected as part of this sample of applicants. Your selection is entirely random and is part of a University-wide verification process. It does not mean that we question the statements you made on your application. Rather it is a way of ensuring integrity in the overall application review process.

This is such BS, I have to ask my employer for a letter.
I have such bad luck

Ouch…that sucks. Hopefully I don’t get one of those.

Wow… Wonder if the sample size is big… and I found out that Stanford is initiating something like that as well. But if you have a really long list of ECs, esp a wide range of community ECs, how are you going to get the verifications for each of them? Thats going to take … forever…

WOW! OMG. I can’t believe that. I hope u didn’t make that up lmao but I don’t think u did. WHY DIDN’T THEY DO THAT BEFORE?!! So many people made up stuff and I actually wrote everything I did in truth. lol

^ They’ve always had this, but it’s a very small sample size.

i got one of these when I applied a few years back, but simply confirmed what they chose to highlight. i got in no sweat, just send them the docs asap.

good luck!
