Engineering, in order to be accredited, must follow a specific sequence with hardly any electives.

Note that even if you have AP credit for the gen ed requirements and you can skip them all, there’s not enough to fit a music major, or even a minor. You may try to spread your majors out over 5 years instead of 4 but your parents may not agree.
If you’re interested in technical/STEM subjects, you could look into data science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, CS, or IST. Those may make it easier to add a Music BA or at least a music minor.
