Very Confused... Did I get the scholarship?

Hi, I applied to Presbyterian College regular decision along with several other schools. About 12 days later I received an email REITERATING its congratulations to me for being accepted to the college. Then, three days later I received the actual acceptance to the college in the mail. The acceptance letter stated that I got a 25,000$ founders scholarship and a 2,000$ GA scholarship.
My confusion is in the fact that I thought the founders scholarship was only for South Carolina residents, but I got it and I’m a Georgia resident (as they obviously know, because they gave me the small Georgia scholarship). In addition, I think you’re only eligible for the FS if you apply early action, which I did NOT. Can anyone give me some help understanding this?

Thanks a lot.

Call the admissions department at the college. They are the only ones who can give you the true answer.

I don’t know where you are seeing that the Founder’s is only for SC residents. On the scholarship matrix, it lists the 5 academic scholarships, then says OOS student can also qualify for up to $4000 extra, and SC students can qualify for Hope, Palmetto, or another grant from SC. It’s a private school, and usually the merit scholarships are for everyone (as it appears here) plus any state grants.

If you have a 3.9 and a 31+/1350 score, I think you were awarded the Founders’ scholarship, plus the OOS award of $2000.

Congrats.

thanks
yeah, I had a 3.9/1510, so I qualify, I just wasn’t aware that I qualified for the scholarship.
