i wanted to know if the day we submit our app makes a difference .. i.e. would submitting the application on december 1 be better than submitting on december 31??

I don’t think it would, I’m sure right now they are working on the ED applications and I doubt they will start on the RD until that is completed. I would think that anytime before the deadline would be fine.

Unless it’s rolling admissions, the day you send it shouldn’t matter, unless you send it past the deadline!

I don’t think it matters for Cornell in general, even for the individual colleges that do “rolling”.

With other universities that DO do rolling admissions (i.e. UMich), the date does matter!

It is not like UMich. or PSU. Cals schools don’t do traditional “rolling admissions”. They admit students in “waves” or in a single early “wave” and it has nothing to do when you sent in the app. I believe it is to highly qualified people they want and feel getting a leg up in admitting them might help them decide. Similar to a likely letter but since they are unique schools in the Ivy league they don’t have to wait on actual admission.
