My FAFSA EFC is somewhere around 65000..should I even worry about filing the IDOC..as it clearly looks like I won't be getting any need-based aid

I always tell families to file since it may give you access to merit scholarships, sometimes colleges need your financial info to release funds even though the award may not be income sensitive.

The second reason is that it is a good idea for the colleges to have your completed financial aid application just in case something happens, such as a job loss or disability of a parent thus the info only needs to be updated for you to plead your case to the financial aid officer.
