I was reading through the lists of “What to Bring” and “What Not to Bring” on the JHU website because I am buying my dorm supplies as they go on sale, and I saw that they do not want you to bring coffee makers. What? Is this actually true? Is my poor Keurig going to be barred from the AMR doors? I do not want to be forced into paying 4 bucks for a simple cup of black coffee at Starbucks when it would be so much simpler and cheaper to brew it in my dorm.
Keurigs are absolutely fine! A bunch of people in my hall had them, no problem. I think that Housing is warning against having traditional coffee makers because of the hot plate. I’m not sure exactly what the policy on traditional coffee makers is, but Keurigs are fine!
