Very IMPORTANT question:Cockroaches?

Serin, definitely cross off any big city that's on your list. Cockroaches everywhere. Cross Texas off. We have palmetto bugs here. They only try to come in when the weather gets cold or gets hot. Some years are worse than others. In true Texas tradition, we just saddle one and drive the others off. And then the crickets come...........

there arent any cockroaches in minneapolis and thats a big city.
do u mean any big city in the south??

its not that its a phobia its just that id rather not have to worry about such nasty things

I live in the south and I almost never see them. They're really no big deal...

ish
so are they prevalent or not?
sounds kinda like they r

This is being blown out of proportion. You almost never see them.

This is a silly thread

If it's not a true phobia, tabbyzmom, I agree with you. I was trying to help in case it was.

tabbyzmom and ctymomteacher, I agree.

cockroaches......
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww......................

I live outside a medium-sized city, in a suberb in the woods. I'm in the boonies, basically. Anyway, it's in the South and we have spiders and whatnot. There's bugs, yes, but it's not something you notice. I would not base my entire college decision on cockroaches unless they were big enough to eat me, which I'm sure they're not.

i used to live in new orleans (until after sophomore year), and i must say, i did see a lot of roaches...sometimes they'll scuttle around outside after dark, which i find kind of gross. and i lived about 6 blocks east of tulane (closer to downtown) across st. charles, so its a pretty safe bet i saw as many cockroaches as any tulane student will.

tulane is officially off the list.
sick. gag.

o c'mon, they're really not that bad. you rarely see them at daytime. if you have good hygiene and keep your own room in shape, you won't find them inside that much. face it, no matter where you go, they'll be weird/creepy bugs around.

About the Palmetto bug... It's just another name for the american cockroach. The american cockroach is the big mother bear that lives in the sewers and comes up around the pipes. The little brown guys in your fridge are german cockroaches. Thank you and goodnight.

Dont base your college desicion on **** roaches they are at every college in the US because most college kids are slobs. I know I live with one hahahaha.

Speaking of important questions,
where's the nearest starbucks?

if you're in new orleans, you don't want to go to starbucks. try the local places, like PJs and CCs. they're much better. both have places on maple street, which is right by tulane. there is also a PJs, CCs, and a starbucks on magazine street.

However, there is a Starbucks, also on Maple Street. Isn't there a PJ's on campus?

My son and his friends frequent The Neutral Ground. Not sure where it is.
