So I know that you can attend any of the three lectures for Chem 1A. I signed up for Majda's class MWF 11-12 since Stacy's class was full. But if I'm planning to attend Stacy's lectures, am I allowed to schedule another class MWF 11-12? Would TeleBEARS let you sign up for that class even if it's technically overlapping?

Gasp. I didn’t know you could do that :o.

u can do this…? haha

I believe TeleBEARS allows you to do that actually. If I recall correctly that my CalSO counselor said that it wouldn’t infrom you if you had conflicts

yeah you can sign up for conflicting classes i believe. telebears should warn you, but it can’t stop you.

So as far as chem goes, you don’t even have to go to the class that you actually signed up for on the first day? Just the one that you want to go?

yup. just remember which one you’re actually signed up for. that’s who you’ll put on your midterms and other miscellaneous things.

Yes you can do that.

Hmm I thought the midterm and final for all the chem classes were the same too, and at the same time in the same place…so what exactly do you mean when you say remember which class you signed up for?

it’s all at the same time, not the same place. what i mean is that you might need to write down which prof you are signed up for on your midterm exam. though i could be wrong. you’ll definitely need to know at the end of the semester for evaluations, but that would be pointless if you went to a different lecture.

it shouldn’t be that hard to remember. just in case…

just make sure that final exam groups do not conflict.

One of my friends had lab from 1-5 on Wed. while enrolled in the 1-2 MWF chem lecture so yah they don’t really care, BUT for our last midterm it was in-class (really in assigned lab rooms) so you do need to remember which lecture you are assigned to.
