Very quick question about SAT writing multiple choic, could anyone help?

Does the SAT test the words any, anyone, or anybody specifically? For example: the words hardly anyone showed up, I marked it wrong on the error identification section only to find out it was correct. I was under the impression that anyone refers to numbers in the low single digits, and hardly anyone would in essence singal maybe one or two, so anybody should be placed in there.

Thank you again.

Learn the grammar rules like Subject verb agreement, verb tense, idiom, noun number agreement, and more. You will see those errors when you see all the mistakes that you did on the test.

I’m not sure what you thought the mistake was with “hardly anyone” – “anyone” and “anybody” are synonyms. There is no difference between them.
