<p>at which of the top schools (both LAC's and universities) are the stars clearly visible at night? I realize that the rural schools probably have much better visibility, but I'm curious about some of the suburban schools, and wondering if simple light pollution from the school itself would make visibility foggier. </p>
<p>So, any stargazing experts out there?</p>
<p>I'm guessing Hawaii would be the best. Arizona, Minnesota, Utah are also good places. Not sure about which top schools have the clearest skies, lol.</p>

<p>But on the whole the SF Bay Area and Sili Valley have way too much ambient light to be a serious stargazing locale.</p>

<p>Minnesota is only good for gazing if you get out of the TC area. It's better in the TCs than in NYC or LA for sure, but nothing like it is in the country. Iowa is the place to go for stars.</p>
