Very worried/stressed pls chance me

Hey guys!! Just as a disclaimer I hope you guys don't judge me because I know that my stats aren't particularly respectable :( I have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 (I have broken this down below). Can any of you give me any insight into my chances for UCSC, UCR, UCI, UCSB, University of San Francisco, and Pepperdine University (science/biology major)? Thanks a lot!

For the UC’s, GPA is weighed more heavily than Test scores so your estimated UC GPA is approximately a 3.2 which is low for all the UC’s. Even UCR’s average GPA for Freshman 2014 was a 3.77. Your ACT looks great but with the low GPA, it might be a red flag to admissions officers. Also for STEM majors, the competitive STATS are usually above the average. You can check the UC Application website which states the Average GPA/SAT/ACT scores for this years in-coming Freshman to see how competitive you need to be. Your EC’s show good leadership and your music background makes you well-rounded.

University of San Francisco: Match
UCR/UCSC/Pepperdine: High Match
UCI/UCSB: Low Reach
I would suggest you look at UCM, Cal States and possibly Redlands, Azusa Pacific and UOP.

You have a shot those schools, but I would definitely add some in-state safeties. Who knows? You may get some financial aid from some safety schools. Best of luck.

Thanks guys I appreciate your feedback  anyone else have any insight?

Whittier is probably a low-match or safe school for you, also, unless you need a lot of financial aid. I think your ACT scores will help you out a lot.

If there is a good explanation for why you have a 34 ACT but only a 3.2 GPA–other than sloth or general tomfoolery–you might be able to persuade college officials (on an app) that you’re a better student than your GPA signifies. Whether we judge you or not, you can be sure that colleges will, so ask yourself if you have a defense.
