I applied for a transfer to A&M in January 15’ for an English major in the college of Liberal Arts. I’m currently at Sam Houston State University. I only had 12 hours in January, so I had to submit my Spring grades. I now have 26 hours. My application is currently in review for Fall 15’ admittance. I served 6 years in the military prior to college. Bad news, I only have a 2.7 GPA. Just wondering if anyone has any insight as to how Texas A&M is with veteran admissions, or any other schools you guys know about. Any advice helps! My essay is really great. I’m not bragging, I just put a ton of work into it. But a 2.7? I’m trying to keep a positive attitude. Be honest please. Anyone know my chances?
Not very likely to be honest. I’m a Texas residence and I’ve seen many people apply to A&M. Most of them had a 3.5 GPA when applied. If you can get around a 3.3 to a 3.7 GPA then there’s a decent to a good.
