video games in the dorms

would an xbox 360 in my dorm cramp my social status? i applied as an engineer so i'm assuming it'll be acceptable in that realm, but i'm afraid that a no-privacy dorm will give everyone permission to label me a "nerd."

dude, all guys play video games even if they dont admit it, i think itd actually make you more friends, playin some latenight halo after a party haha

hopefully haha. i'm really holding my breath for guitar hero 2. quite possibly the best game ever. any girls wanna weigh in?

dude your a nerd

jk...all guys play games

there are plenty of people with video games in the dorms.

Secondly, everyone at USC is a nerd to a certain extent, or else they wouldn't have been admitted.

dude...college guys love video games. The only problem (besides finding time to play them) will be kicking out people when you need to study :)

i wouldn't worry about it...actually, pretty much the only guys on my floor who brought Xbox 360s were people way into partying, sports, etc. although sometimes i question why they spend entire nights playing games, neither studying or going to parties...

well, if you don't want to be outright labeled a nerd, you gotta go to that party first, THEN play haha. (and i don't mean LAN party ;))

i recommend you bring it, you'll probably play it a lot more than you'd think (and maybe excessively, as it seems on my floor!). just don't let it be one of the only things you do for fun.

of course. sometimes i just need to virtually kill something after a long day.

Even those recruited for football?

LOL, I remember the article last year about Matt Leinart and Vince Young playing NCAA Football together on Xbox before the Heisman ceremony (knowing full well that Bush would win)

And I remember Petros Papadakis talking about how Pete Carroll coaches like he's playing a video game (cause when you're playing video game football, you never punt on 4th-and-short :) )

just remember to keep your door OPEN and you'll make friends
