Villanova Chances?

I am applying to Villanova this fall and want to know if I have a shot at getting accepted. I am planning on applying ED, so I guess my first question is will this maybe increase my chance of acceptance since I am telling them I will attend if accepted?
I do not know my exact gpa but my counselor told me I am at a A-, my SAT score was 1250, (650 math and 600 reading) Which I know these scores are low for Nova, but would applying ED and writing a good essay (which I have) maybe push me through? I have taken many honors and AP classes throughout high school, and have a lot of EC’s including National Honors Society, varsity softball, band, and 2 clubs. I am also volunteering a lot, (100+ hours) and am involved in my church. I know the nursing program is selective but do I have a shot at least? And are ED acceptance rates higher?

@1314puppy No one really knows if there is advantage because this is the first time Nova is doing this. Usually, this does give a slight edge to an acceptance if you have a strong app. Admissions usually doesn’t want to compromise their standards unless there is something compelling about your app. My S has applied ED to Villanova with similar stats as yours. He is hoping his app is strong enough but it may not be.

You have a shot. I would say your best chance is applying as an ED applicant. Nursing program is definitely more competitive. I wish you the best! Hope you get good news in December!
