I'm applying into villanova's nursing program.

weighted GPA: 3.95 but should go up to a 4.01 after finals next week
SAT: 2000 (math=700, writing=700, CR=600)

I've taken honors/AP classes all of high school, including 5 APs this year.
I'm ranked in the top quarter of my class.

I've done lots of volunteer work at local hospitals, especially at a children's hospital, where I've donated over 100 hours in the past year.
I've volunteered at my local Church, as a summer camp leader and a teacher's aid.
I've also held a job all of high school.
I've been on track and volleyball at my school.

How good are my chances of getting in? especially their nursing program... I'm very nervous but I really want to go there!

Hi court, I can only give you my S’s info and what I have gathered on this site. S applied into business program EA. Had 99.989 GPA and 2020 SAT (1350/1600) all AP/honors classes like yourself and a large amount of leadership EC/CS but no paying job. He was deferred to RD. To put it in perspective, he was accepted as OOS into UNC Chapel Hill which means his essays/recommendations must have been stellar. With that said most posts here claim that EA was stricter than RD and most students with SAT in 1300s do get accepted as long as they have rigorous course load and top 5% of HS class. (hopefully your finals put you somewhere in the top 10%) I hope this works and I wish you luck in the nursing program.

My older son was accepted (but in 2003 and it is more competitive now) with a 3.1 GPA (from a top New England Prep). Think his SAT’s were in the high 12 low 1300 range. No hooks. My younger son has applied. He attends the same school and has a 3.27 GPA and 2130 SAT (1340 M/CR). Naviance seems to indicate a pretty good shot at admission from his particular school.
