I got accepted into the Villanova/Drexel BS/MD seven year program a few days ago, which guarantees acceptence into Drexel Med with a 29 on the MCAT. However I am more interested in Franklin & Marshall's program with Penn State Med in Hershey, because i prefer F&M over Villanova and Penn State Med over Drexel Med as well. However, in this option, you apply at the end of sophomore year of college, and provisional acceptance is guaranteed only if this application is accepted. Would it be a bad decision to pass up the guaranteed 7 year program with Drexel and take a risk for the F&M/Penn State track? Everyone is advising me to accept the BS/MD program, as we all know how tough med school entry is these days, but i prefer the other one...i would appreciate any feedback. thanks

hi! i’m also interested in the villanova program…can you please post ur stats? thanx

bumppppppppp same here please

Is Villanova/Drexel or Drexel/Drexel a binding program? Are expected to go to Drexel med school only? or can you take MCAT and apply out?

can u please post ur stats? congrats on getting accepted! i say you should accept the 7 year deal…seems like the best option to me. :)

The Drexel programs are binding. If you want to apply out, you give up your seat at Drexel College of Medicine and you have to finish out your undergrad normally.
