Hello everyone. I am an international student and admitted to both wpi and villanova. My intended major is chemical engineering.
Which school should i choose? I mean villanova gives me more aid (10000 usd more than that of wpi). However, it seems to me that the engineering program in villanova is not as good as that in wpi (base on the rank mainly).
Can anyone give me some insights? Thanks for your help.
I think you are correct - WPI definitely has the better Chem E program, it’s one of their big fields of expertise. My son will be attending WPI this Autumn, we looked at both, and I am completely sold on WPI. Look hard at the websites and any videos you can find on the Internet for both schools, and follow the instinct that is the little voice in your head telling you which one you really prefer, if money allows this. Good luck.
There are two totally different environments, campus and student wise. Both have different strengths and the locations are very different. Besides the engineering curriculum, do you have any other preferences? To see the number of engineering students and expenditures google- ASEE Worcester Polytechnic.
