For those who have been accepted, what advice to you have for prospective students in the middle of the application process? I'm applying early action and I'm just seeking advice to make sure I'm moving in the right direction.

Don’t get dejected if you don’t get in EA, as a significant amount of EA applicants get “pushed” back into RD…This happened to our D and many others we have spoken to, and happy to say she LOVES 'Nova…

Best of luck

Very stressful process, but the outcome is worth the wait. I applied the last week of September, to be let down EA in January and placed in RD to later find out in the Spring that I got in. Try to take it easy and keep your grades up! I really pushed for all A’s the first half of senior year that way I could send in a mid-year report to 'Nova to prove to them I was giving it my all and not slacking off when everyone else was, because I wanted to be accepted so badly. Good luck!!!

Does anybody know if there is a limit or a suggested limit for the nova supplement essay?

I’m pretty sure it says on the paper app at least 250 and up to 1000 words. My son wrote 450.

Not a shred of proof, but I believe that a spectacular letter of recommendation from the high school guidance counselor and another exceptional LOR from a teacher/club advisor, were key in my S’s EA acceptance.

hello! i too applied early action and they say that we will be notified on Dec. 20. does anyone know what time of day we know??? also what is the acceptance rate of EA applicants??
