Violinists!!! (or string players) help O_O

i can't decide which songs to send to schools. i'm not going to major in music. prob major in science. anyway i have 3 songs recorded: one slow, and two songs that are combination of fast and slow parts

Csardas - V. Monti (combination of fast and slow)
-- pro: didn't make mistakes while recording
-- cons: not very challenging music?
recorded w/out a piano accompaniment

Praeludium and Allegro - Kreisler (combination of fast and slow)
-- pro: challenging music (at least for me)
recorded w/ piano accompaniment
-- con: some messy mistakes made while recording

Violin Sonata #1, mvt. 1 - Bach (slow)
-- i'm definitely sending this one.

if you guys were in my situation, would you send csardas or kreisler? i know it's hard to decide w/out listening to the recording, but please give me any opinions. overall, csardas sounds good and kreisler doesn't... but my concern is the level of the music.
pleaz, any comments?

Better to send what sounds good.

I've played all three.
Csardas is a beautiful piece, but it's easy! I'm betting that a LOT of people have sent that in. You want to sound unique. It also sounds better with piano... I mean, the piano part isn't even that much, it's just a little background.
Praeludium is also a great piece! Lots of high notes! It's okay if you made some mistakes, but as long as you still have control and discipline.. you cannot sound sloppy!
Still.. if you REALLY believe that you did a GREAT job on Csardas, like better than all the thousands of violinists they have, then send it in. Praeludium is more challenging and less people send it in.
Question is, do you want to be "good" with everyone else, or do you want to be unique and more risk-taking?
I say send the Praeludium..

I would also say Praeludium.

It's more "standard" since Csardas is kinda gypsy-ish.
(some people may not like that)

thanks guys

any other comments?

How many do you need to send? I'd stay away from Csardas.

I've played all three as well.

I often record my own music, and so if I were you,
I would send Praeludium and Allegro. I am currently finishing up that piece. It shows your level of difficulty.

Agreed. Send Praeludium and Allegro. EVeryone plays Csardas, and it's really not that advanced. Even though I like supplement recordings without accompaniment better, Praeludium and Allegro sounds like your best bet. (And it's GORGEOUS)

If there isn't much difference between how well you play the two, I would also say Praeludium..

Hum, I hope there isn't anything wrong with sending gypsy-souding pieces though, b/c I sent Zigeurnerweisen, which literally translates to "Gypsy Air".

Of course there is nothing wrong in sending that. Zigeurnerweisen (sp?) is one of the hardest pieces ever. That will only help you. There's nothing to lose.
