<p>I was just wondering if the Virginia Summer Academy programs (total immersion foreign language) are... aw, geez... I really don't want to use that nasty word "prestigious", but... are they?</p>
<p>I auditioned for Spanish last year as a sophomore and was waitlisted (which my teacher said for a sophomore was phenomenal, as they really only want juniors).</p>
<p>So, I'm auditioning again this January, and I just was wondering if the total immersion language programs were held in high regard. They seem really competitive, but that's obviously from my skewed point of view as an applicant.</p>
