Virginia Tech Graduate Mathematics

Anyone have experience with the Mathematics department at Virginia Tech at the graduate level? I will be finishing my undergraduate degree in Mathematics in about a years time and was considering apply to Virginia Tech for graduate studies. Just wondering how difficult it is to get into their graduate program, and what the quality level of the program is?

Go to Mathematicsgre forum or gradcafe Mathematics subforum, look for people’s profiles that they post (GRE scores, Math GRE scores, GPA, research, quality of school attended, Putnam scores, etc.) and see who got into VT and who didn’t. (Hopefully I’m allowed to mention other websites here.)

That said, VT is ranked #60 on USNews, so it’ll still be competitive but not ridiculously so. Don’t know anything about the program.
