Virginia Tech vs. George Mason?

I posted a similar post before but I finally narrowed it down to these two colleges. I will be majoring in International Studies (or global affairs at gmu). So I was wondering which college would be better?

Tech gave me a decent and affordable financial aid package, and if Mason doesn’t give me a good package I will change my status to off campus and commute (which is something that I would rather not do), so the price of both currently isn’t an issue, they will both cost the same. I know ideally Mason would be better for my major because of its proximity to DC, but I also know that Tech is strong in all departments and their career services are great. I also really like Tech’s location and campus, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the people, food, campus, nightlife…etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you visited both schools? They would offer two very different college experiences. If you want to be immersed in college life - go to tech. If you don’t care about all that you can get a great education at GMU.

@acollegefornick‌ I’m visiting both in two weeks. I do want to be immersed in the college life which is why I’m leaning towards tech. But my education is really important and I don’t want to be at a disadvantage if I chose one over the other.

Bump?
