Virginia Tech vs TCU

I am wondering which school I should apply to. I don’t want to apply to both, as my parents only want me applying to a certain number of schools and only one of these would fit. I would love to know what you all think would be a better fit.

*I know that one is in VA and one in TX and they’re very different weather wise and everything else. I’m leaning toward preferring the location of VA but I would definitely go to TX
*I know their student populations are very different but I’m fine with any size
*Cost is really not too much of a factor, as my parents will be able to pay for either (but the cheaper option of VT certainly wouldn’t hurt)

-I’m assuming both of these are similarly difficult to get into (with maybe TCU being a bit more difficult) → also I am from CT so out of state for VT

  • I am planning on majoring in Statistics/Data Science with maybe finance as a double major or minor if possible
  • I 100% would love to be in an a cappella group in college (or at least some choral ensemble), so I’d love to know which school would better fit me in that area
  • Which of these schools is the lesser party school? I am okay with it, but would prefer a school where partying isn’t EVERYTHING
  • I love both campuses; they’re both beautiful
