VISA process after getting accepted (F1)

Hi everybody,

I got accepted to Umich like one month and a half ago, and I already paid the enrollment fee. I also sent the Financial Resources Statement required for the delivrance of the I 20 form to the Admissions Office seventeen days ago but I did not heard from them yet ! Given that the Visa process can be very long, I thus would want to begin it as soon as possible. So, has anybody already received his I-20 form ? If, yes, how long did it take to be delivered by the Admiss Office and how long did it take to be mailed to your country ?

Thank you very much for your help !

PS : I would be pleased to keep in touch with any International student so we could help each other with the VISA process !)

I’ve sent my financial statement quite a while ago. However, you shouldn’t be worried about the time. Applying for a F-1 visa doesn’t really take such a long time. I would say once they sent you your I-20, you can get that fancy F-1 visa in your passport. You don’t need to worry about it yet! :)
