Visit report

I read this campus visit report and wondered what current NU students think about this student's impression in terms of the competitive vibe and comparison to an ivy in terms of difficulty. What do you think?

"Campus Visit Notes for Northwestern University:

Visit Description: This school is great if you want to be pretty competitive in your studies. I definitely got a competitive vibe, and many many of the girls seemed into greek life. I think it's actually pretty big at NU considering it's size. Great food. Beautiful. But, I think if you think that because this school isn't an ivy, or because it's in the midwest it'll be easier... think again."

i wouldn't say it's easier than an ivy, but i would say it is less competitive, at any of the very top tier of schools there is going to be a certain amount of competition, but presumably less than you would get at an east coast school.

meaning more students are willing to collaborate with each other to all receive better grades. Especially in medill, the classes there are VERY collaborative.
