I have a family member deciding between attending Visitas vs going to the Senior Prom which falls on the same Saturday this year. Any advice?

If your family member has decided upon Harvard, there is absolutely no reason to attend Vistas. I would advise them to go their prom and enjoy one of high school’s senior year rituals.

Lol is this a joke? Go to prom. Harvard can wait. Jeeeez, nerds sometimes.

lol, please go to prom. Visiting a university shouldn’t take precedent over doing something that basically every high school kid does.

This is a tough one! I’d also vote for your senior prom. If you’re not yet convinced that you want to attend Harvard, though, I’d contact the admissions office to set up an alternate weekend to visit. It won’t be the same type of experience as Visitas, but you’ll at least get some idea of what the school is like, so that you’re not making your decision totally blind.

@polishcalculator: I just posted this to another thread, but thought it might be helpful to your decision:

Thanks everyone. We decided on the senior prom. We spoke to Harvard and they are helping us set up an alternate weekend. They have been fantastic over the phone.
