Visiting Cornell..important?

I want to visit Cornell this weekend, but it's a 5 hour drive. What do you think is more important - the information session or the campus tour? Does Cornell even care that you visit?

It's not too big of a deal as long as you can explain why you're confident about cornell being a top choice for you in specific terms. "It's a great school" doesn't really set it apart from peers duke or columbia, while something personal about the "vibrant energy felt when you visited campus" really makes a difference because that personalizes the experience and gives a real reason as to why you know you like cornell, even if it's an abstract one.

If you attend off campus information sessions or have an alumni interview you're OK in terms of demonstrating interest, but visit campus if possible, just because it's an incredible place. It's well worth the drive.

Most beautiful campus out of all the ivies + top tier schools imo :D

cornell is absolutely gorgeous. beats harvard any day. im so glad i went to visit!

Cornell is gorges (overused joke/compliment but still true :p )
