Quick : why do you want to go to Cornell? Give reason and explanation please. I have my own, but my interviewer wants to know. What are some distinguishing characteristics of Cornell. Please don't put "why not" as an answer. Thank you for some of your thoughtful responses.

If you have your own, then tell that to the interviewer. If you don't exactly know why you want to go to this school, however, maybe you shouldn't even apply. We wouldn't want you.

I love the location. I can go down to Lake Erie and water ski any time of the day. Also, McDonnell's school of Engineering is one of the most widely appreciated facilities in the entire U.S. Also, the town folk are very gracious. Just walk down Duquesne Street right off of University Boulevard and talk to anyone about anything. It has a free-spirited yet very determined atmosphere. I love the fact that the faculty to student ratio is a very low 6-1! As I will have my credits needed for my Robotis Major in 2005, I'm already missing the experience! I almost don't want to leave.

So you want us to tell you why you want to go to Cornell?

I dunno, the food? Pick some obscure things that no one else would say; it'll set you apart. Of course, the interviews don't really matter, so it's no that big a deal anyway.

I said Cornell's reputation as the university with the BEST food clinched it for me :D

What college are you describing? It sounds as though you are describing a college in Pennsylvania!

i second that nagromis, isn't Duquesne another school?>

In one way, I feel as if I exsist because of Cornell. If my grandparents didn't attend Cornell, they would have never met, and never would have had my mother. If my parents hadn't attened Cornell, they never would have met, and never would have had me!

I could elaborate on my love of hockey...snow (sniff I miss it)...etc.

Dude you are cheating the system! Tell your interviewer the truth and if you really can't answer it on your own then creep off my school cus u OBVIOUSLY do not deserve it!!!!!:D

El1jah, that makes no sense whatsoever. Lake Erie is 3 hours away, McDonnell's school of engineering is definitely not at cornell (and according to a google search, doesnt exist period), the townspeople are crazy hippies, there is no Duquesne St. or University Blvd, and Cornell offers no "Robotis" major.

I'm curious though. How can you almost have enough credits to graduate this spring, and yet not know what school you go to??!

Dudes, Elijah is TOTALLY talking about Cornell. McDonnell's school of Engineering is located adjacent to Byerly Hall! Duh!

Oh, and don't forget to mention the pictoresque yellow arch that stretches over the entrance to the main campus.

Hahahaha...you're funny DUDE. :D

Obviously El1jah is having a little fun. He's still in high school!

my favorite thing about cornell is the beach. last time i visited we went there, and jet ski'ed there were all these hot babes, and college girls, it was just amazing. the sun was shining, and the students were all easy going.

Yeah, isn't Cornell the only Ivy w/a surfing team??

Or maybe theirs is just the best, I can't remember...
