hey guys ill be visiting pepperdine next month as well as the los angeles area. im from the east coast so im not familiar at all with whats out there. any suggestions or recommendations as to what i should check out or what not? it doesnt have to be pepperdine related, im looking for fun things to do while im not visiting the school. thanks!

The Los Angeles area has an amazing amount of stuff to do. There are tons of sports to go watch if you're into that.

Malibu itself, hands down, has the most amazing beaches. It's WAY cold to swim without a wetsuit, but the views are still stunning.

There is Six Flags, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farms, and Universal Studios for adventure parks, all of which I recommend (I've actually never been to Disneyland, but I've never heard anyone come back from there unhappy, lol)

The Getty Museum is really amazing, and I've been dying to go to the Museum of Tolerance is a tribute to World War II Holocaust victims and racial intolerance as a whole in America. The California Science Center is much more hands on and fun. I've heard really great things about the La Brea Tar Pits too.

Santa Monica and the Pier is a really fun place to shop and spend the day, it has a ton of cool and unusual shops, and I personally love Ventura--it's a cute, quaint, and kinda funky little town with a farmer's market to die for, amazing beaches, and a Mission.

And of course, there is Hollywood and the Walk of Fame. I'm pretty sure they do bus tours of celebrity houses and stuff like that lol.

If you're up for a like, 2 hour drive, San Diego has some really amazing stuff too. But you really don't need to leave the LA area to have fun :D

Hey thanks for the suggestions! Im going to start making a list of things to visit and do soon and the things u said seem really cool

anyone else? :)
