Visiting UGA/Athens

I'm coming up to Athens to check out the town and UGA this afternoon. Is there anything I need to see/do or eat at?

Hi Pierre - Start in the downtown, grab something to eat at one of the outdoor cafes across from the Arch since the weather’s so nice, then go thru the Arch through the old lawn, around Old College to the patio garden behind. Wander to your right, take in Herty Field and the fountain, ring the bell if you want to blend in with the locals, and head south until you come to the Tate Student Center, which is adjacent to Sanford Stadium. The stadium is in the middle of campus and has no surrounding parking - very unusual.

Thanks gadad! I have to say that UGA’s campus is really nice, the facilities that I saw were brand spanking new and the campus is huge! The bus system was amazing and I tried out the famous campus food and it was really good haha, was pretty impressed! Probably would’ve considered it more if they had engineering when I was in high school
