Visiting

Hi, my friend and I are planning to visit our friend at their college. However we are going on a day that has no scheduled campus tours or info sessions. Are we allowed to just walk around campus and see the buildings before meeting up with our friend? Or is that not allowed? Also, do I have to contact the school if im visiting one of their students?

negative to each question. college campuses are, most of them, pretty open to anyone young wanting to visit. You’re not stopped by anyone on most college campuses. But ask your friend if it’s going to be a problem.

Also let the admissions office know that you’re visiting on an off-day. If there’s a sign-in book at the AO, by all means sign it. They will appreciate the effort.

And have fun while you’re visiting.

Ditto with the above. You may want to have your friend show you around the academic buildings though. He/she may know more about them and you may get more out of the experience since there are no tours or info session on that day. The only exception may be dormitories which you may have to swipe in. Have fun!
