Hello all,
I would like to go on an Engineering department tour. However, they only have tours at 12:45 on Friday afternoons. So, I would have to miss school for that. (Which is to be avoided because of the difficult class load.) Has anyone gone on the Engineering tour? Should I really really try to make it or not worry about it? Any insight about how helpful and needed this tour is would really help me with planning out for the spring.
Thanks everyone!
My daughter took the tour 4 years ago. It was a generalized engineering tour that took her around to all the different departments. You can always contact the department you are most interested in and have them try and fit you in on a different day with a dept.head or have a student to show you around when/if able. My daughter is in Packaging Science and she had one of the dept.heads to show her and one other student around because of scheduling issues such as yours. I would say go if you can do it, but it is totally understandable to not go if your workload cannot grant it.
I took one in the fall. Mechanical Engineering was a fantastic tour and made me fall in love with Clemson even more. Electrical Engineering was very boring. Guess it just depends on the tour.
