I'm looking for a university/liberal arts school (not an arts school) with a visual arts program. I want to major/concentrate in graphic design/visual communications (something in that realm). I also like the idea of a joint program with an arts school. So basically I'm open to any suggestions.

bump bump
can someone please help me with this

You might have better luck here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visual-arts-film-majors/ in cc's visual arts forum.

Wash U St Louis. University of Cincinnati, UCLA, RIT, CMU, Syracuse, Alfred University among many others.

Suny Purchase and Bard.

You have received some good suggestions for medium and large size universities. The following small liberal arts colleges have good art studio programs BUT they are not strong in graphic design/visual communications.

Williams, Skidmore, Hamilton, Conn College, Wesleyan, Kenyon

As for joint programs, look at the following:
Brown/RISD
Tufts/Boston Museum School
