so i recently stumbled upon the e and numerous videos on youtube for the campus movie fest. does emory have a good film production major or something of that sort? because i really interested in taking some classes while probably majoring in biology. and i know many schools have classes that are very hard to get into due to limited space.

I am the partent of an Emory Junior who is in the Business school but also double majoring in Film Studies. The Film Studies department is small and generally not a ‘how to’ (although they do have a couple of classes in filmmaking). The Department has excellent professors who teach classes that are popular with students of all majors. Narrative Filmmaking has limited space (12 students a semester or so). But some of the introductory classes are so popular that you cannot always get into them. Also, Emory has amazing equipment for use on an extracurricular basis by students if you are into film making. Emory started Campus Moviefest and last year won a National Award (check out ‘The Gerstein Report’ on line). Some students at Emory also won the City Award in Atlanta for a Competition that was not just limited to college students
