As for the Barron's, I actually bought it today. The 3500 list is 100 pages long and then you have so many other strategies. You could ask your parents to buy the book for you and tell them that it's for your future and that if you don't get it and memorize all the words then you won't do good on the CR section and won't go to a good college and won't get a good job and ruin your life, or just buy it yourself, lol. I hear that it's a great book, it's called Barron's How to Prepare for the SAT 2007-2008. It has a Disc in it and even has hundreds of flash cards inside of it.

Flashcards are great, but the thing is, a huge part of them being good is the act of making the cards. As you look it up and write it down you are putting it to memory. I don't know about you but when I see a card I made I can almost recall looking up that word, what I was thinking at the time, what was on TV etc.

omg but making the cards is gonna be so tedious.. like 10 hours for 100 words =_=

3500 words!? geez... just memorize about 1000 and use process of elimination

All I did was memorize roots, prefixes, and suffixes (from Gruber's), and got an 800 CR.
