<p>Are any of you guys applying/going to Voices of Tufts 2012? </p>

<p>I recently applied and was accepted this week! I can't wait to see Tufts and maybe meet some of you guys!</p>

<p>I really want to apply for Voices of Tufts, however, I probably have a very slim chance of getting accepted seeing as though I’m a Caucasian female from a MA suburb with a middle-class socioeconomic background. I’ll give it a shot though! </p>

<p>The Voices program is meant for anyone for has an interest in diversity issues and gaining a better understanding of how Tufts treats and values students of underrepresented backgrounds of all types. The application for the program doesn’t even ask for students to self-identify with a group. We’re really committed to making this an accessible program for all students that share that passion. </p>

<p>(Of course, I’m not saying this means that you’ll automatically be accepted, but don’t be so quick to dismiss yourself)</p>

<p>On the Admissions Connection Page on the bottom there is a box that says “You are Scheduled for the Events” and then it lists “Voices Fall Program: October 25-26 2012”</p>

<p>does this mean anything or is it just there because I applied?</p>

<p>when did your counselor send in your stuff? mine did today hopefully i’ll hear before wednesday</p>

I did the online app yesterday and my guidance counselor sent in the letter of rec and transcript a few hours before the deadline</p>

<p>How are you guys getting to Tufts from the airport? Public transit or just taking a taxi?</p>

<p>I will be in touch with you just prior to the Voices Program to confirm the logistics for getting you from Logan airport to campus and back again. In many cases we will put you in touch with other students travelling on the same flight so you can meet each other en route. Let me know if you do not want me to share your email or cell phone number with other students traveling on your flight.</p>
