Volunteer hours vs school involvement?

I am involved in next to no school clubs, organizations, or anything similar, but I have at least 300 volunteer hours a year for the Special Olympics as well as a hundred or so hours a year volunteering at a few schools. If I can communicate that I saw no point in forcing myself to do activities I wasn't passionate about, and that I truly wanted to make a difference in my community, will I still stand a chance at top colleges (assuming everything else is acceptable)?
