Volunteer Interview

So I have an 30-minute interview on Monday for a teen volunteer position at the hospital near me. Basically all teen volunteers do is clerical work and helping out at the information desk or gift shop.

I will be a sophomore this fall and this will be my first ever interview. I'm kind of nervous.

Any advice / help on what to say, possible questions, what to wear, etc. is greatly appreciated.

Woah, there are * volunteer * interviews?

It’s a teen volunteer interview- don’t worry about it, you will most likely get the position. They aren’t looking for brilliance for clerical work. Just make sure you stress how passionate you are about the medical field and would love to do even menial tasks to help out. Wear something semi-formal, and be a slightly more mature version of yourself. The questions won’t be too hard, things like “why do you want this position?”, “what would you be able to contribute”, etc.

Lololol I am in the same situation. Idk what I should do.

Good luck!

The thing u should be able to respond to the best is why u chose to volunteer there especially and why do u want to volunteer. Try to tie ur answers back to helping the community and improving myself and becoming an active member of the community to help people and all that stuff. U should also be prepared to say what r ur weaknesses, strengths, and three words that describe u. They might also ask about school and classes. Try to keep ur answers positive even if they r about a negative topic, like ur weaknesses.

It’s kind of ridiculous that they would hold interviews for volunteer positions imo. Who knew free work was competitive.

Would it be acceptable to say that I want to volunteer because helping out in the community is important and also that being in the hospital is already stressful so I want to try to streamline the process in any way I can? (Actually, that sounds really strange…)

DD had to interview to become an aquarium docent in freshman year. She also had to do the same when she became a literacy tutor. Each time she took a r

You dont have to wear like formal formal clothes, but just decent clothes. Its not bad at all. Just talk freely and answer the questions with a nice small. Make sure you choose the volunteer job of your choice and be free! Good luck!
