Volunteering on political campaign

I want to volunteer on a candidate for my congressional district's campaign over the summer. I'm only 15, and can't drive. I'm going to be a rising sophomore. So is this too young? I have extreme interest in politics (I watch all the debates and primaries for president) I'm gonna shoot him an email later this week on his designated email for volunteers. Generally will they take people my age (or under 18 people in general?) And what could I expect to be doing? Has anyone done this before?

I also have a great interest in public policy and government. In fact, the summer prior to eighth grade, I participated in an internship with a local congress campaign. For the most part, I did administrative work (filing, answering phones, creating spreadsheets, computer input etc.) Some of my other duties were, organizing phone banks, walking precincts, and volunteer outreach.

I can’t imagine that your age would be a problem. I would definitely shoot him an email. If you don’t receive a reply, I would definitely call the office. It’s truly a great experience, especially for someone who has a particular interest in public policy (politics), government, or law.

Good luck! Feel free to PM, if you any other questions!

Go you! We need more politically active young people.
