In case you’ve forgotten, or need to be reminded, please make time to vote today in your state/community.
It’s important. It’s not a lesser voting day, maybe just a shorter ballot.
I was able to look up a sample ballot for our county through a google search. I’m sure you can do it to if you search “Your County, State, May 3 2022 voting ballot”

Voted last week! I’ve worked as a poll worker and recommend that to everyone. I’m a longtime political volunteer, but seeing an election from the other side was quite an education.

Indeed! My state’s primary is not until May 17th.

Ok, IF your Voting Day is today, get to your voting poll! Or if it’s not today and you have early voting, schedule to get it done early!

Another May 17th here and glad to say I finally figured out who I’m voting for… it was easy to see who I wanted to vote against - not so easy to decide who to vote for, so happy to have it set in my mind.

I hear you! It’s hard to get excited about voting when you feel like you are picking between the lesser of two bad choices.

Our Senate race here in OH is so nasty, almost exclusively limited to one party. I don’t usually vote that party, but I am crossing party lines to vote for the least offensive candidate.

September 6 is primary voting day in MA.
Two choices? We have oodles on the ballot for the major races here in PA.
I’m pretty anti-carpetbagger, so eliminating a few was easy. Figuring out who I like among the rest - and in the other races - was tougher. If there were only 2-4 to pick from each race it’d be much easier whether voting for or against them.

Our primary in California is June 7th.
But you may be motivated to try to minimize the potential damage that the worst candidate(s) can possibly do if elected, since cleaning up the mess can be much more difficult than making the mess in the first place.

In Ohio, if you are registered to a party you can only vote for candidates of that party in the primary elections. @toledo , PM me, I am interested in hearing about what you came up with for least offensive if you don’t mind sharing, I was working on figuring that out this morning.

We move frequently due to H’s career. This was my first time voting in this state. When I got my new driver’s license when we first moved here, I registered to vote.
I have to say, it was NOT EASY to find where to vote, who was on the ballot, etc. I lost track of how many searches I had to do. And then once I found the website that helped you determine what precinct you were in, it was not user friendly at all. I work in IT and am very tech savvy, but it required a lot of effort.
Other states we’ve lived in have definitely been a lot easier to navigate.
You can declare a party at the time of voting. At least that’s how it is in Ohio when I voted in the last primary. I’ll PM you with my choice of “Best of the Worst”.
On a humorous note, I got this idea from a guy named Larry at a dinner party several years ago. We now refer to it as “Larrymandering”.

Michigan has open primaries. I’ve definitely switched parties around to try and find the least offensive candidate.

I am visiting family in another state, and early voting for primaries just started. I am blown away by the ads … I am so glad that I don’t live here. I could not possibly deal with being exposed to this baloney for weeks (and then months, as the run offs and actual elections run on into the fall).

I voted today (early voting) for my May 7 election.

Our joint election for Texas constitutional amendments, school board and community college trustee is Saturday, May 7.
Our school board race is hotly contested. Maybe 1/3 of all homes have a yard sign for a candidate. It’s basically traditional Republicans vs. anti-mask and “classical education” Republicans.
Interesting. I have never registered with a specific party. Once I googled myself and it said I voted “__________”. Not true!
